Everyone knows that to maintain a healthy weight you have to eat right and exercise. But sometimes life gets in the way and it’s hard to stay on track. Determination and willpower just weren’t enough for me. Sometimes it’s all about the right people showing you a better way. For me, losing weight was always tied to an event – a holiday, a vacation, a special occasion. Now I don’t think about my weight anymore. With Bill’s food plan, I eat real food and I actually look forward to working out. It’s not always easy, but it’s fun and it works. I love the design of Steve’s workouts. My experience training with Steve has been excellent. I tell him my goals with eating and working out and he helps out every way possible. I was 145lbs when I started with him now I’m 165. Putting on the extra muscle has increased my confidence and strength. I look forward to continuing our training and progressing with my muscle gaining goals.

In 2000, while working full-time, I started full-time graduate school. By 2002 I graduated with my MBA and an extra 30 pounds. I promised myself that by the time I hit 40, I would get back into shape. Predictably, it did not happen. In 2007 I took a job that provided a fantastic opportunity, but also required 100% travel for nearly 4 years. The project was a great success, and I had another 30+ pounds to show for it. I again committed to getting in shape by the time I reached 45, and again could not get started. Life change is really all mental, and I could not get my head in the right place. In January of 2012, I had a thought: if I could lose just one pound a week, I could get back to the weight I was when I graduated college in time for my 25th reunion. This time I was ready.
While at an appointment at Tranquility, I met Steve. I immediately sensed his commitment not only to fitness but to his clients. I signed up during pre-sale, and eagerly awaited the opening of Tenacity. I knew I needed the discipline and commitment of a Trainer; having appointments scheduled would keep me on track, and there would be no risk of “not feeling like going to the gym tonight.” Steve has an incredible ability to sense what each of his clients needs, and deliver each and every time. He has pushed me just a little bit farther than I thought I could go, and the results are truly amazing. I originally planned to train 2 days a week and do a cardio workout on my own the third day. Training with Steve is so much fun, and so productive, that I have been training 3 days a week for the last 3 months. Each and every workout has been different – only a few exercises have repeated. The creativity and mix that Steve provides in our PT sessions keep me coming back and loving it.
My reunion is now one week away, and I am nearly at my goal. Aside from the weight loss, I am undoubtedly in the best shape of my life. I can run up 2 flights of stairs (in heels!) at work and not get winded. Training is now a part of my life, and is my “new normal.” The partnership with Steve is invaluable, and I encourage everyone to give it a try – you will be hooked!
I’m a 42 yr old married mother of 2 young boys. I never had a weight problem, but I’ve never really been happy with the way my body looked. I worked out with weights constantly and did cardio out the wazoo. Nothing ever seemed to change the way I looked in my opinion. I’d heard about Bill, and curiosity got the best of me and I signed up. I could not believe the results. Even from early on, my body adjusted to the plan and my metabolism was torched. Funny thing is, I was eating a lot of food 6 times a day. Very healthy food choices and healthy portions, all balanced to allow my body to gradually change….for the better. There was a lot of preparation involved in the very beginning, but once I got the hang of it, it became much easier. The meal plan was so easy to follow. I was always afraid to workout at the gym because I didn’t know what to do. Bill showed me exactly what exercises I needed to do for my body and how to do them. AJ is great with creating workouts designed to hit the targeted muscles I requested. He is extremely accessible and personal which I like. With his help, I now know how to properly use weights and machines to improve my muscle capabilities.
I love working with AJ. He is always available to answer any questions I have or to schedule workouts. Most importantly he makes me feel comfortable working out in front of someone. It can be scary working out with someone you don’t know yet but with AJ I felt at ease quickly.
I am a 30-year-old female that has dealt with major physical setbacks; I’ve been in a horrible car accident and had 3 major leg surgeries to date.
